These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Phrasy mobile application (the "app", "we", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

Phrasy is an educational app for learning conversational English through a daily audio-sitcom, quizzes, speaking exercises, and AI-assisted feedback. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Phrasy. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. Please provide accurate information when you sign up.

3. Subscriptions and free features

Phrasy offers free features as well as an optional paid subscription that unlocks premium content and higher usage limits. Key points:

• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and are charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play account settings.
• Prices and available plans may change; any change will apply to future billing periods and, where required, only after notice to you.

Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems;
• submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others;
• resell, redistribute, or exploit the app or its content without our permission.

5. User-submitted content

Some features let you submit text (for example, written answers to exercises). You retain ownership of what you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process it in order to provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate feedback for you.

6. Intellectual property

All app content — including episodes, characters, audio, text, and design — is original and owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use the content within the app; it does not transfer ownership.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Phrasy is a learning aid and does not guarantee any particular result or level of language proficiency. AI-generated feedback may be imperfect and should be treated as guidance, not authoritative instruction.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Certain provisions (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
